Priscila Cabildo

"Art & Beauty aren't separate from Death & Decay - they emerge from our relationship with them".

Priscila Cabildo was born in Mexico City many moons ago. She is an emerging artist currently living in the Land of Living Skies, Saskatoon.

As an artist - movement and creativity are the way she likes to express herself. In the last few years her artwork has been an instrument  of reconnecting with her heritage (which was buried by European colonialism and nowadays Americanism). She wants to honour the land where she comes from, and show different ways to make meaningful and valuable connections.

Connecting with her culture with the creation of contemporary art has brought her closer to her homeland and developed a feel of belonging to something bigger than herself - and to the imaginary borders between Mexico and Canada. Proud of her Mexican heritage, she continues to create art and connect meaningfully with community.
